Mattisse Graham | Birth & Postpartum Doula Support
Feel supported and empowered as you welcome a new baby.
Welcoming a baby changes everything—but you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Having a doula by your side can be calming, supportive, and empowering.
They say it takes a village—and as a DONA-trained birth and postpartum doula, I would be honored to be part of yours. I offer calm, continuous support and guidance through labor and birth, as well as nurturing care in postpartum as you settle in at home with your newborn. With compassionate, evidence-based support, I’m here to walk beside you as you navigate each step of the journey.

Hi, I’m Mattisse
I’m a DONA-trained birth and postpartum doula, committed to offering reassurance and loving care to my clients. After being in the floral industry for eight years, I was inspired by my mother-in-law to make a career shift. She is a doula and would come home from a birth so excited about supporting families in their birth journeys. Witnessing the profound impact it had on her, I decided to explore this avenue for myself. I saw qualities in me that aligned with being a doula—caring, loving, supportive. I decided to take my first step into becoming a doula. That step became a leap, which then became a deep dive into the birth and postpartum world. In addition to my DONA International doula training, I have also graduated from the Kindred Birth Collective’s Birth Doula Mentorship Program.
Beyond supporting other families, I love spending time with my own family, my fiancé and our three cats, Pickles, Turkey and Squid, listening to audiobooks, and crocheting.

Birth Doula
As a birth doula, I offer continuous emotional, physical, and informational support before, during and immediately after childbirth. In pregnancy I am available to answer questions by providing evidence-based information, assist you in creating your birth plan, and help you prepare for baby’s arrival.
During labor and childbirth, I will be with you throughout, offering positive, supportive care so that you feel encouraged and empowered as you bring your baby into the world. I can assist with physical comfort through techniques such as suggestions for positions, breathing, massage or applied pressure if needed. I will help you formulate questions to ask medical staff when things are not clear or if you want to understand all your options. If you have a birthing partner, I am also committed to supporting their participation, teaching them how they can comfort you, and making sure their questions are answered.
Immediately following the birth, I will stay with you for the first couple of hours as you begin to bond with your baby. During this time I can assist as you adjust to holding and feeding your newborn. If you would like further postpartum care, please take a look at my postpartum offerings.
Postpartum Doula
The early weeks following childbirth are tender, beautiful, and sometimes a little overwhelming. As a postpartum doula, I am here to help you navigate this precious time with your newborn.
My role is to care for you so that you can care for and bond with your baby. I will come to your home during the daytime or at nighttime, depending on your need. My care includes emotional and informational support—such as listening without judgment, giving encouragement, providing evidence-based information, and offering referrals for additional support if needed.
As well, I offer practical hands-on care such caring for baby while you shower or rest, prep or cook a meal, and do light, baby-related housework.
